Galadriel is the greatest of the elves, I agree. But it is not for passing the test, because that comes second. First, Galadriel learned the lesson that all in Arda fades and withers except for the glory and power of Eru Iluvatar. It is learning that lesson, that she is a child, not god, that enables her alone of all the elf lords to pass the test.
I think Tolkien himself would be impressed by this analysis.

Clinging to the fading world is death, and Galadriel had the wisdom and strength not to do it.
